A rare success story. I was very dad to hear that The Sprucery permanently closed. BUT. Then I found out what happened. Previously, the owners sold the business to Private Equity but kept the land. When Private Equity did what it always does and failed, the old owners bought the business back and rebuilt it! A joy to see this business back and running. I know many beautiful trees that came from this place, amazing plant selection, great customer service, good people, and sold delivery and planting.

Pleased to recommend them and happy to see them still around. Hope they continue serving Colorado for many years to come.

The staff was setting up for a wedding in a stunning wedding location with a pond and waterfall. I was very impressed by the whole place.

I had a wonderful experience at Castlewood Gardens in Franktown, and a huge part of that was because of Enna. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and took the time to truly understand what we were looking for. Her knowledge, patience, and attention to detail were outstanding.

Enna never made us feel rushed and genuinely cared about helping us make the right decisions. Her customer service is exceptional, and it’s clear she takes great pride in making sure every customer has a great experience. She went above and beyond to answer our questions and ensure we left completely satisfied.

If you visit Castlewood Gardens, I highly recommend asking for Enna. She is a true asset to the team and made our visit an absolute pleasure!

Beautiful plants, the facility is gorgeous and staff is incredibly helpful. They have a piano waterfall that is stunning. The plants I have gotten from them have been healthy, vibrant and reasonably priced. Very community oriented.

This place is an absolute dream! The plants are incredible, the service is outstanding, and the staff are genuinely knowledgeable — a rare combination. Dusty, the owner, personally gave us a tour and was exceptionally hospitable, which really set the tone for the whole experience. They’re also building out a play area for kids and an outdoor bar for adults, which is going to make this the destination spot. We’ll definitely be back!

This is such a great nursery in Parker! We went several years ago when it was The Sprucery, and the new Castlewood Gardens is so much better: expansive, whimsical, and friendly. They have such a variety that you should be able to find anything you're searching for, and even things you didn't know you needed. We were looking for a tree that the deer won't decimate and Dusty helped us choose a beautiful hawthorn that will add so much to our landscape. We will definitely be back to buy more plants, shrubs, and trees as needed, since we're always adding to our property. Thank you, Dusty and Castlewood Gardens!

I visited the Castlewood Gardens (formerly The Sprucery) in Franktown, by Ponderosa High School, yesterday and was so surprised by the renovations, prices, and inventory. I had been there years ago when the original owners, Dusty and Ainsley, were just starting the nursery and were working non-stop. I still have several plants from there doing great from all those years ago!
Unfortunately, when the new ownership took over, I quit going because the inventory was low, poor, overpriced, and the place was just run-down.

Now that Dusty and Ainsley have returned, the nursery is full of gorgeous plants, perennials and annuals, acres of trees, working fountains again, prices that rival anyplace in Parker/Castle Rock, and, above all, motivated and very knowledgeable staff.

They have a Children's play area, Lemonade stand on the weekends, a Wedding/Event Venue in the works, and, in time, education classes too. We have a jewel right down the street.

I'm so excited about this! Glad they are back!

My husband and I initially stopped in to look for a tree for our front yard, but after speaking with Dusty and seeing his expertise, we decided to take on a much larger front yard update.

Dusty and his team did an outstanding job with both the design and installation. The trees, shrubs, and plants were all high quality, and the crew worked efficiently while keeping everything neat and organized throughout the project. We’re thrilled with how everything turned out and couldn’t be happier with the results!

I have been coming here for years and were thrilled to hear that it changed back to the original ownership. The nursery has never looked better and the selection is much better than in years past. Prices are reasonable and the plants look very healthy. This will be my first stop for years more to come.

This is a fabulous nursery. Much of the same selection of items as Tagawa, but much more affordable prices. It's a joy to walk through and I never leave empty handed much to the dismay of my husband!

Castlewood Gardens has quickly become our go to for all things landscaping refresh! They have a vast selection trees, plants, shrubbery, perennials, annuals and anything that might interest you. Dusty has been super helpful with his ideas for our front yard landscape design as well as recommendations on types of plants/trees/perennials. He even went out of his way to come by for the planting and placement of our royal raindrop crabapple tree and 3 boulders. He has been really great to work with, offering landscaping services, but also not pressuring us when we decided to tackle the project ourselves. Highly recommend Dusty and his team!!

Plants grow best when you buy them in groups of 100! Jk. But they have enough here to do that.

Castlewood Gardens has a great sale going on now through 5/11. Annuals, Autumn Blaze Maples, Pine Trees and more. The customer service is great. I've waited a long time for a new tree to add to my front yard. I had my heart set on a certain tree from a competing nursery in Franktown that was unable to help me. Kind of bummed that I was driving 30 minutes back home empty handled, I stumbled upon the newly opened Castlewood Gardens on HWY 83 and quickly made a u-turn to check it out.

Anna on the sales staff was extremely knowledge and listened to my concerns about what I needed in a tree. She was able to help me purchase a beautiful multi-branch redbud clump that is slow growing with Spring and Fall interest... just what I was looking for!

After I purchased my tree, I could see there were rows and rows of greenhouses for customers to explore and ended up meeting Owner Dusty who was so friendly and welcoming. I purchased several more perennials. All of their plants were in excellent condition and well taken care of.

Please shop our local nurseries! As we all know, gardening in Colorado is tough and businesses like Castlewood Gardens need our support. You'll love all of the beautiful fountains on the property too. Happy shoppping! I'll be back for sure : )

Castlewood Gardens gave me the BEST customer service! I had purchased several items online and at a big box store... All dead within 1-2 seasons. I went to CG for replacements. Ainsley (owner) gave me one on one assistance and great advice, even though I didn't make my purchase that day. When I came back, I was so happy that I went ahead and bought all the replacements I needed. I got everything installed, and some were pretty small plants. The pricing was so reasonable! I think sometimes people think shopping at a local nursery costs a lot more, but I didn't pay any more than I would have at Home Depot for the same products and installation. It was so worth it!! Shop local!!! I got a pretty large apple tree, 3 grapevines, plus installation and it was super affordable. Pray for me... I kill plants.

We came in to look at trees for our yard and ended up doing our entire landscaping project with them! Dusty was wonderful to work with. He has a great eye for design, was very knowledgeable throughout the process, and helped us choose beautiful trees from his nursery that worked perfectly for our yard. Most landscaping firms ask what you want and quote it with no suggestions or insight. Dusty sees creative opportunities in every square foot of your yard and makes proactive suggestions so you get the most out of your space. His landscaping crew was also fantastic. They listened to what we wanted, were professional and hardworking, and completed everything on time. We’re very happy with how the project turned out and would definitely recommend them.

We had an excellent experience from beginning to the final planting. We had to find the best fit for a tree to not have roots crowd our foundation, and be in a spot for privacy with our neighbor. Ainsley showed us various trees and explained the canopy and root ball sizes. We found a beautiful crabapple tree. They delivered it a few days later. My wife and I recently visited Castlewood Gardens to look as some trees for our home. We were greeted by Dusty who listened to what we wanted for our yard. He came to view our lot and recommended a plan for trees and landscape. His suggestion totally transformed our back yard into what we had originally envisioned. He started work when he promised, continued without interruption until it was finished. The trees were fairly priced as was the work for labor and materials. It was a pleasure to deal with him and his employees. It was a five star experience for us from start to finish.

Most recently we purchased a large number of trees to plant along the back of our home to buffer us from the street noise. Dusty was extremely helpful in finding the best trees to accomplish our goal - and then placing them in the optimal places to address the street noise.

Stopped in just by chance on Friday. Ended up buying two trees and had them istalled on Monday. They are very knowledgeable as they used to own this prior to the Sprucery. The staff was very helpful and the installation crew was on time, fast, and respectful! We have more trees and plants to buy and will be returning.

The owner, Dusty is personable and helpful. I picked up a few smaller evergreen trees. They are healthy and were well-priced. The entire stock looked lush and well-cared for. Much more so than Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Dusty provided a number of planting tips and helped me load the trees into my truck. Great place. Highly recommend. I'll be back again soon!

They were prompt and showed up when dusty said they would. Communication was excellent and the quality of the work was very good as well! When we are ready to complete the rest of our yard we will use dusty & his team. We would recommend them to anyone!

Our neighbors were putting in an extraordinary landscape project with waterfall, outdoor kitchen, mature pine trees for green privacy. We were referred to Dusty, owner of Castlewood Gardens, who did their project start to finish. We discussed options for mature tree privacy with him. His recommendation on pine varietals was spot on. Loved our first visit here today. What a lovely nursery, with beautiful and healthy plants. The plant we bought was one we hadn’t seen at other local nurseries, and with their fall sale going on it was a great price. Even without the sale price, their prices were more reasonable than others. Knowledgeable and friendly team. We’ll definitely be back!

Dusty came recorded to me from a local home builder in the area when I asked him, “who’s the best landscaper in the area”. Dusty understood the vision I had for my yard and he was able to create fantastic results! He and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with, and I can’t recommend them enough!
